Mrs. Alma Ruth Rutledge Deese, 78 of Temple passed away September 1, 2009. Mrs. Deese was born on November 21, 1930 in Haralson County, Georgia the daughter of the late Davis Rutledge and Bertha Rush Rutledge. A retired seamstress of Sewell Manufacturing Company and member of Corinth Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Alton Deese, sister, Thara Rose, brothers, Bob Rutledge and James "Skinny" Rutledge, son in law, Clifford Wyatt and granddaughter, Beverly Hicks. Survivors include children, Karen Wyatt and Donna & Donald Spinks all of Temple; brother, John Rutledge of Jacksonville, FL; grandchild, Cory Spinks of Temple and many nieces, nephews, friends and in –laws. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 3 pm from the Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home in Bremen with Reverend John Lemmings officiating, Reverend Wendell Rush conducting graveside and Mrs. Emily Briscoe delivering eulogy. Music will be provided by Walley Smith, Joel & Brenda Agan. Barry Redding, Lynn Smith, Dennis Yearty, Larry Rutledge, Russell Bryant and Jay Bryant will serve as pallbearers. Adam Faulkner, Gavin Millians, Justin Shipp and Daniel Crews will serve as honorary pallbearers. Interment will follow in Corinth Church Cemetery.
