Barbara Jones McPherson of Bremen passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Fulton County, July 22, 1931, daughter of the late Samuel Willis Jones and Emily Pitman Jones. Mrs. McPherson retired from Carroll EMC, where she worked in customer service. She was a member of the Bremen First United Methodist Church, Survivors include her husband, J. E. McPherson of Bremen; children, Mary Ellen McPherson of Bremen, Diane and Tonya Hardeman of Tallapoosa, Eddie and Kathy McPherson of Bremen, Robert and Daphni McPherson of Bremen; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Services will be Friday, August 11 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Reverend Tonya Hardeman and Reverend Gerald Varner officiating. Music will be furnished by JoAnn Agan. Kevin McManus, Randy Patterson, Grant Hubbard, Robert McPherson, Jr., Jay Agan and David Wiggins will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
