Bessie Jo King of Crestpoint Circle, Bremen, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at her residence. She was born in Haralson County, November 4, 1932, daughter of the late Ira Hammock and Marie Lynn Cash Hammock. Mrs. King was a retired bus driver for the Haralson County School System. Besides her parents, Mrs. King was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Wesley King. Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Judy Lynn Bell of Waco, Carolyn and Fred Antley of Columbia, SC; a son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Karen King of Buchanan; sisters, Amanda Rainey, Bremen, Adella West of Temple; brothers, Fred Hammock of Atlanta, Randall Hammock and Doyle Hammock. both of Carrollton. Services will be Saturday, October 20 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Richard Brannon and Paul Robinson officiating. Music will be furnished by Buddy Gentry. Jimmy Antley, Bo Cook, David Smith, Greg King, Mike Sumlar and Joey Philpot will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
