Bonnie Ellie Edwards Dobbs of Rainey Drive, Bremen, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2008, in a local hospital. She was born in Cleburne County, Alabama, December 19, 1914, daughter of the late Lemon Edwards and Flora Rooks Edwards. Mrs. Dobbs was the retired owner of the Bremen Cream and Sandwich Shop and a member of the Providence Baptist Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Spencer Alex Dobbs; a daughter, Ima Jean Dobbs; sisters, Audrey Byrd, Jewell Cooper, Lillie Hook; brothers, Hubert, Sylvan and Gerald Edwards. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jerry Jackson, Bremen; sons and daughters-in-law, Lemoyne and Janice Dobbs, Winston, Larry and Maryline Dobbs of Bremen; sisters and brothers-in-law, Thelma and G. L. Burnett of Trion, Sybil Brown, Carrollton, Iradean and Lem Pendley of Moncks Corner, SC; sister-in-law, Burice Dobbs, Bremen; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Services will be Monday, August 18 at 2:00 PM from the Providence Baptist Church with Dr. Mason Bush and Brother Richard Brannon officiating. Music will be furnished by Whitney Brannon, Macie Brannon and Brant Howell. Kevin Creech, John Yauger, Dave Gust, Chris Dobbs, Richard Brannon and David Haney will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Providence Baptist Church.
