Bret E Gordon, 60, of Waco passed from complications of cancer on April 28, 2023, at Tanner Medical Center.

Bret obtained his Bachelor's degree from Murray State University, where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He spent several years working in the publishing industry while living in Nashville, Tennessee. He later pursued a career in the food and beverage industry. He enjoyed working in management and as a chef. He obtained his certification as a dietary manager and put his skills to work in the field of healthcare. His focus was working in the areas of nursing and rehabilitation while living in the Carrollton area.

His interests were fishing, NASCAR, baseball, and college football.

Bret was predeceased by his parents, Edward & Lorraine Gordon; both from Indianapolis, Indiana but residents of Carrollton, Georgia. He is survived by his eldest son Tyler, living in North Carolina, and his younger son, Trevor Gordon of Carrollton. Also, surviving are his sister, Denise Casey of Saint Simon's Island, Georgia and his brothers, Dave Gordon of Dawsonville, Georgia and Doug Gordon of Ledyard, Connecticut.

A Celebration of Life will be held by his family and friends at a later date.
