Mr. Celvin Ward, age 80, of Hwy. 48 Graham, AL, passed away Saturday January 13, 2007 at Lagrange Hospice. He was born June 16, 1926 in Randolph County, AL. To the late Thomas and Beulah Johnson Ward. Mr. Ward was a U.S. Army veteran having served in WWII. He was a member of Camp Ground United Methodist Church and was retired having worked twenty-six years for the Southwire Comany. Besides his parents Mr. Ward is preceded in death by all his brothers and sisters, Mae Ward, Faye Stewart, Nora Sullivan, Flora Green, Lila Lovvorn, Charlie Ward, Melvin Ward, Olie Ward. Survivors include a very special beloved friend of 36 years Martha Brown and a best friend Steve Stewart and also twenty- five nieces and nephews. In keeping with Mr. Ward's wishes his body was cremated. A memorial service will be conducted Thursday, January 18, 2007 at 6:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, January 18, 2007 from 4 until 6 PM. In lieu of flowers contrabutions maybe made to LaGrange Hospice 1510 Vernon Road LaGrange, GA. 30240.
