Mr. Charles F. Allen, age 78, of Cook Place, Decatur, GA.,passed away Monday, February 5, 2007. He was born August 14, 1928, in Carroll County, Ga., to the late Ellen Williamson Allen and the late McCurdy Allen. Mr. Allen served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was a retired route salesman from Sealtest Dairy for over 40 years. He was also a member of Abilene Baptist Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Mae Muse Allen; a brother, Ray Allen, and a sister, Ruth Williams. Survivors include his two children, Barry Keith Allen of Loganville and Cathy Ard of Union Point, Ga.; a sister, Elizabeth Sims of Temple and a brother, Wilbur Allen of Carrollton; also four grand children, John Wesley Jones, Thomas Ard, MacKenzie Allen and Hunter Allen. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 8, 2007 at 3 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. H. T. Henderson and Rev. Doris Williamson officiating. Patty Pritchard will provide the music. Interment will follow in Abilene Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 5 until 8 PM.
