Charles Edward 'Eddy' Bowman, Sr. of Villa Rica passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Paulding County, November 11, 1951, son of Ethel June Smith Bowman and the late Charlie Bowman. Mr. Bowman was employed by the C. W. Matthews Construction Company as a superintendent. He was a member of the West Georgia Worship Center. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Bowman. Survivors include his wife, Janice Cheatwood Bowman of Villa Rica; son, Charles E. 'Chuck' Bowman, Jr. of Dallas; step-children, Kimberley Boatman, Bremen, Johnathon Shirey, Villa Rica; mother, June Smith Bowman of Dallas; sister, Becky Baxter of Dallas; brothers, Ronnie Bowman, Douglasville, Sammy Bowman, Dallas; grandchildren, Charles E. Bowman, III, Carol Mae Bowman; step-grandchildren, Kaylor Rutledge, Brittany Rutledge, Mason Rutledge, Kristen Boatman, Jacob Shirah and Jaden Shirah. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6:00 until 9:00 PM and Tuesday from 5:00 until 9:00 PM. Services will be Wednesday, May 7 at 1:00 PM from the West Georgia Worship Center with Reverend Ricky Shirley officiating. Music will be arranged by Reverend Ricky Shirley. Dana Cole, Bradley Vines, Lamar Stanfield, Alex Leary, Jackie Woods and Bill White will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in the Brannon Perryman Cemetery.
