Mrs. Clarice Miles Griffin, age 81, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2006 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA. She was born July 8, 1925 in Carroll County to the late J.D. Miles and Eva Estelle Marlow Miles. She retired from Kmart in 1986 and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Carrollton. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Owen Griffin; a brother, Ray Miles and a granddaughter, Erin Elizabeth Griffin. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Carol Griffin Lane & Larry Lane and Sandra Kaye Griffin, all of Carrollton; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard Owen & Becky Hightower Griffin of Carrollton, Joel Dennis & Becky Barnes Griffin of Bowdon and Timothy David Griffin of Carrollton; a brother and sister-in-law, Larry & Muriel Miles; a sister-in-law, Effie Miles, all of Carrollton; 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 2, 2006 at 2 PM from Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Tony McManus, Rev. Danny Henson and Rev. Doug Bingham officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, October 1, 2006 from 6 until 9 PM.
