Mr. Donald Wayne Morris, 66, of Pacific Avenue, Bremen passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2006. Mr. Morris was born on June 29, 1939 in Rockingham, South Carolina the son of the late Hoke Morris and the late Juanita Jordan Morris. Employed in the warehouse division of Sewell Manufacturing Company for 26 years; a veteran of the U. S. Army; member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Crystal Gail Morris. Survivors include his wife, Lavonia Lee Stitcher Morris of Bremen; Children, James Wayne Morris and Steve Marlin Morris both of Bremen, Zachary Joseph Morris of Temple and Brenda Michelle Kelley of Ranburne, Alabama; sisters, Linda Pike of Bremen, Diane Garner and Kay Smith both of Tallapoosa, and Gloria Jean Pope of Buchanan and Tenna Wilson of Robertsdale, Alabama; brothers, Billy Morris and Ben Morris both of Carrollton, Larry Morris of Waco and Carroll Morris of Grantville, S.C.; 11 grandchildren Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at 2 pm from Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home of Bremen with Brother David Alexander, Reverend Marcus Fielder and Reverend Forest Johnson officiating. Music will be provided by Tommy Bishop, Natalie Fields and Chad Jordon. Clyde Garner, Wayne Garner, Tony Porter, Derek Porter, Ed Townsend, Johnny Stitcher and Robert Pike will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
