Doris Elizabeth Wright of Bremen, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2012 in a local health facility. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, June 24, 1929, daughter of the late Charles Joseph Rivarde and Elizabeth Berry Rivarde. Mrs. Wright was a retired nursing assistant and a member of the Draketown Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Wright; a son, Patrick McCormick and a brother, Lewis Joseph Rivarde. Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Irene McCormick of Bremen, Ronnie McCormick of Illinois, Timothy Michael 'Timmy' Wright of Tallapoosa; daughters, Cindy Sue Stout, Illinois, Jackie Wheeling of Marietta; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday at the funeral home from 6:00 until 9:00 PM. Services will be Friday, July 20 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Rev. Buddy Gentry officiating. Music will be furnished by Buddy Gentry. Tom Kerns, Ronnie McCormick, Terry Stout, Eddie Wright, John Arrant and David Storms will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Draketown Church Cemetery.
