Edward "Eddie" Leon Stanford, 54 of Pinecrest Drive, Bremen passed away June 10, 2009. Eddie was born on February 20, 1955 in Carroll County, Georgia the son of Leon Stanford and Jean Bishop Stanford. Employed with Lockheed Martin and Member of First Baptist Church of Bremen. He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Jeffery Stanford. Survivors include his parents, Leon & Jean Stanford of Bremen; sons, Edward Shane Stanford of Franklin and Benjamin Stanford of Carrollton; sister, Dr. Janet S. Kirk of Seattle, Washington and a brother Sam Stanford of Gainesville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, June 12, 2009 between the hours of 6 & 8 pm. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 3 pm from First Baptist Church of Bremen with Brother Herman Parker officiating. Music will be provided by Sharon Sewell, Andy Fowler, Sara Calhoun and Sue Ezzell. Neil Stanford, Peter Kirk, Dr. Will Parrish, Steve Jones, Tommy McClendon and Brandall Lovvorn will serve as pallearers. Joshua Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund or to The American Cancer Society.
