Mrs. Frances Phillips Yates, age 68 , of Leigh Lane, Carrollton, Ga., passed away Thursday, June 21, 2007. She was born November 28, 1938 in Carroll County, Georgia to the late Millie Ballard Phillips and Verner Phillips. Frances retired from K-Mart after 16 years of service and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Danny Phillips; and her brothers , Bernard, Luther and Eric Phillips. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy G. Yates; her children, Keith Yates and Julie Levens; a step son and daughter in law, Danny & Sandra Yates all of Carrollton; a sister and brother in law, Martha Ann & Bill Patterson; three brothers and sisters in-law, J.W. & Faye Phillips, Earl Phillips, and Wayne & Evelyn Phillips all of Carrollton; sisters in law, Peggy Phillips of Kennesaw and Mary Sue Phillips of Decatur; also eight grand children and two great grand children. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 23, 2007 at 2 PM from Eastside Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Brown and Rev. Hubert Carroll officiating with Martha Boyce providing the eulogy. Music will be provided by Eastside Baptist Church Choir and Dennis Akin, Becky Miles and Renee Pritchett. Pall bearers will be Andy Phillips, Danny Yates, Brandon Hawkins, Matt Womack, Austin Hawkins, David Phillips, Donald Phillips, and Terry Jay Phillips.
