Freddie Charles Brooks of Fruithurst, AL passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Haralson County, November 17, 1948, son of the late Charles William Brooks and Helen Ruth Jordan Brooks. Mr. Brooks was a former employee of the Hoover Hanes Rubber Company where he worked as a foreman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl Dominick and a brother, Randy Brooks. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Bell Brooks of Fruithurst; daughters, Misty and Kevin Skinner of Fruithurst, Tonda Porter, Florida, Tiffany Brooks of Florida, Michelle Brooks, Albany, GA, Joy Brooks of Albany; two grandchildren, Karissa Skinner and Kaden Skinner of Fruithurst; a sister, Teresa and Dennis Bell of Tallapoosa. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Services will be Friday, August 28 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Reverend Shane Leggett and Reverend Donald Leggett officiating.
