Mr. Gary Hudgins, age 53, of Morningside Dr., Carrollton, Ga., passed away Friday March 31, 2006. He was born October 4, 1952 in Carroll County, GA., to Jean Cummings Hudgins and the late Charles Hudgins. Mr. Hudgins attended Carrollton City Schools and graduated from Carrollton High School in 1970 where he was member of The Carrollton Trojan Football Team. Following high school, he attended West Georgia College for a short time before enlisting in the U. S. Army. He graduated from the U.S. Army Southeastern Signal School at Fort Gordon, GA., in 1971. During the Vietnam War he was stationed in Germany. His past times included gardening, grass cutting and his love of grilling. He is most remembered by his family as a totally devoted son. Survivors include his mother, Jean Cummings Hudgins; a sister, Carol Hudgins Mosley of Carrollton; three brothers and a sister in-law, Don Hudgins of Marietta, Randy Hudgins of New Iberia, LA., and David and Linda Hudgins of Temple; also a number of nieces and nephews and one great nephew. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at 3 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, April 2, 2006 from 2 until 6 PM and Monday April 3, 2006 from 5 until 8 PM.
