Gary Lamar Palmer, Jr., age 40, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Friday, July 5, 2019. He was born in Newnan, Georgia on October 31, 1978 to the late Gary Lamar Palmer, Sr. and Jan Palmer Duke. He worked as an auto body technician for C & H Body Shop. Gary loved fishing, hunting, and he was an avid Nascar fan, especially # 29, Kevin Harvick, and was Baptist by faith. Gary is survived by his mother and father, Jan Palmer Duke and Hershel Duke; brothers, Todd Duke and his wife Sue, Tyson Duke and his wife Patsy, Tony Duke and his wife Bonnie, David Palmer and his wife Lisa; step-children, Brenda Miller, Megan Miller, Haleigh Miller; grandchildren, Camdon, Mila, Vera, Derrick; grandmothers. Earlene Harper, Sadie Cox; Nieces and Nephews, Nick and Tasha Duke, Amber and Nick Gustafson, Justin Duke, Brenda Duke, Chase Palmer, Chance Palmer; 12 Great Nieces and Nephews; Numerous aunts, uncles and Cousins. He was preceded in death but his father, Gary Lamar Palmer, Sr.; granddaughter, Michelle Yelverton, niece, Elizabeth Duke; Grandparents, Paul and Martha Cook, Bernard and Loretta Duke. He will be taken to the home of his parents at 5480 Tyree Road in Winston for visitation on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. The funeral will be held at Liberty Baptist Church in Winston, on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 2:00 PM with Brother Marvin Gunter officiating. He will be placed in State at the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
