Mrs. Helen Marie Norris Horton "Reesie", age 73, of County Road 439, Woodland, AL., passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2010. She was born October 5, 1936 in Carroll County, Georgia the daughter of the late Lora Hightower Norris and William Thomas Norris. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Bryan East. Survivors include her husband, Harold R. Horton; children and spouses, Ann Horton East of Ashland, AL., Deborah Phillips of Ranburne, AL., Lori & Tim McCain of Miller Valley, AL., Roger & Darlene Horton of Bremen, Dale & Gina Horton of Carrollton, and David & Judy Horton of Woodland, AL.; brother and sister in law, Edward & Sandra Norris of Snellville, Ga.; sister and brother in law, Bonnie & Arlin Powers of Carrollton; also 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 25, 2010 at 2 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
