Mr. Henry J. Johnson, age 61, of Notnomis Rd. Franklin, Ga., passed away suddenly Monday, August 11, 2008, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born May 18, 1947 in Appling County, Georgia to the late Toni Turner Johnson and Henry Peck Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a courier for Air Freight Atlanta in Forest Park, Georgia and a member of Unity Baptist Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Giddens. Survivors include his wife Jo Ann H. Johnson; his children an their spouses, Greg Jackson Johnson, Terri Johnson, Kimberly & Derek Dixon all of McDonough, and Heather L. Johnson of Franklin, Ga.; two sisters, Sue Norris and Dorothy Carter both of Baxley; two brothers, Martin Johnson of St. Simons and Howard Johnson of Baxley; also six grandchildren, McKenzie Johnson, Miah Jackson Johnson, Alexis Johnson, Kaleb Jackson Dixon, Isabella Loraine Johnson and Gabrielle Dixon. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, August 14, 2008 at 2 PM from Unity Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Robinson officiating. Pallbearers will be David Stephens, Nathan Pitt, Ted Chupp, Waymon Jones, Robbie Tucker, Charlie Reynolds, and Wayne Dixon. Music will be provided by Terri Hornsby. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 until 9 PM.
