James Preston Tilley, Sr., age 43, of Douglasville, GA, passed away, Sunday, August 10, 2008 in Douglas County. He was born May 21, 1965 in Floyd County, GA, the son of the late James Frank Tilley, and his mother, Lovie Mae Walters Tilley. He was a CDL Driver for many years and was Baptist by faith. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Anthony Tilley, Sr. He is survived by his wife Debra Kay Kitchens Tilley, mother; Lovie Me Walters Tilley; son, James "Jimmy" Preston Tilley, Jr; daughter, Samantha Mae Tilley, both of Douglasville; sisters: Martha Ann Pope and Audrey Mae Harper and brother-in-law, Wilton "Buster" Harper, all of Villa Rica; brothers: Thomas Edward Tilley and sister-in-law, Pat Tilley, of Waco, GA and Frank Allen Tilley of Villa Rica, nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at 2:00 pm from Hightower's Memorial Chapel in Douglasville with Chaplain Hazel Caldwell officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens in Mableton with Jimmy Tilley, Frank Fisher, Michael Tilley, Jonathan Tilley, Dennis Pope, Leon Smith, Brandon Tilley, Jimmy Kitchens, Jeff Mock and Tommy Tilley serving as Pallbearers.
