Mrs. Janeth Richards Bennett, age 64, of Main St., Whitesburg, Ga., passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2007. She was born October 29, 1942 in Coweta County, Ga., to the late Opal Storey Marks and Chester Shoemake. In her early working career, she worked for a trucking company in Atlanta, Georgia and finished her career with Builders Station. The love of her life was baking for others and her family. Janeth was also a member of Bethany Christian Church. Besides her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herschell Pelham Bennett and her step father, Robert Marks. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Jeff & Adrianna Richards, Joel & Leslie Richards all of Carrollton, and DeAnn & Tim Robison of Whitesburg; sisters, Jean Holcombe of Mt.Zion, JoAnn Williams of Lowell, Edith Durrough, Cindy Green and Stella Vravel all of Newnan; brothers, Willard Marks of Alabama, Ricky Shumake of Franklin, John Shumake, and Jeff Shumake of Newnan; also seven grand children, Jeffrey, Jacob, Joshua and Abby Richards, and Jimmy, Dylan and Madison Robison. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 13, 2007 at 4 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Minister Allen Howard officiating and a eulogy by Joyce Parks. Pall bearers will be Jeffrey Richards, Don Parks, Danny Shoemake, Jon Day, Mike Taylor and Phil Knott. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Bremen, Ga.
