Mr. Jerry R. Mashburn, age 67, of Whooping Creek Church Rd., Carrollton, Georgia, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2008. He was born September 5, 1940 in Carroll County, Georgia to the late Myrtle Huckeba Mashburn and Willard Mashburn. Mr. Mashburn was a Quality Control Inspector having worked for Trent Tube and attended Eastside Baptist Church. He was a member of the Hardee's Breakfast group and also an avid hunter and fisherman. Survivors include his wife, Susan Cook Mashburn; son, Merrick Mashburn of Carrollton; three sisters and brothers in law, Martha & Clyde Snyder, Sara Thornton all of Carrollton, and Sandra & Steve Austin of Covington; father in law and mother in law, Aaron & Rudene Cook of Carrollton; two sisters in law and brother in law, Debra & Wendell North , and Jane Bone all of Carrollton; also a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at 1 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Gary Brown and Rev. Hubert Carroll officiating. Pallbearers will be Brett Bone, Ethan Bone, Jay Outon, Tony Driver, Wendell North and Steve Addison, Jr. Music will be provided by Becky Miles.
