Mr. Jimmie Reid Greene, age 72, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away on Wednesday morning, August 5, 2015 at Tanner Medical Center Carrollton. He was born October 31, 1942 in Douglasville, Georgia, the son of the late James Edward Greene and the late Louise Lucille Worthan Greene. He was retired from the printing industry with over thirty-five years of service. He enjoyed being active on his farm and was Baptist by faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Jimmy Greene. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth "Libby" Reed Greene of Carrollton, Georgia; children: Jamie & Annette Greene of Wedowee, Alabama, Rusty & Cindy Greene and Matt & Randi Greene, all of Carrollton, Georgia; brother, Michael & Carole Greene of Douglasville, Georgia; six grandchildren: Chelsey, Walton, Jessica, Arizona, Taylor, and Noah; a brother-in-law, Jimmy Reed. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 4:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Keith Runnels and Rev. Mike Marshall officiating. Those serving as pallbearers will be Chuck Ford, Sean Reed, Mike Mella, Jerry Cain, Andy Shellnut, and Michael Greene. Interment will follow in Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
