Mr. John Richard Siver, age 84, of Lithia Springs, formerly of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2014. He was born on February 28, 1929, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the son of the late LaGrand Cecil and Martha Butler Siver. He worked as an insurance agent, having operated Charlotte Insurance Agency for 30 years. Mr. Siver served in the United States Army and was a baptist by faith. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Sara Juanita Terry Siver of Lithia Springs; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Ed Carter of Hawaii; sons and daughters-in-law, Cliff Jones of Mt. Dora, Florida, Stan and Deborah Jones of Gainesville, Florida and Thomas and NaCole Siver of Austell, Georgia; sister, Marti Siver of Port Charlotte,Florida; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. from Hightower's Memorial Chapel. Inurnment in the Columbarium at the Georgia National Cemetery will follow at 2:30 P.M. with the Fort Benning Honor Guard providing military honors.
