Mrs. Kay F. (Bundy) Fortner, age 76, of Temple passed away on June 11, 2019 at home with her Family by her side. She was born on Tuesday, February 9, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan. Mrs. Fortner was the daughter of the late, Edward Bundy, Sr. and the late, Frances (Cochran) Bundy. Besides her parents, Mrs. Fortner is preceded in death by her husband(s) Harvey C. Bundy. Jr. and James Sanders. She raised five children while working at Kraft Foods for over 10 years. She enjoyed music, cooking, hunting, fishing, gardening - both flowers and vegetables, she sewed, crocheted, knitted, made ceramics, she loved riding her Polaris in the woods, target practice with her guns, fast cars and making her husband happy – which she did. Survivors include her husband, Larry Fortner of Temple; Two daughters – Dixielee Bundy-Maybury husband (D) Wally Maybury of Murphy, North Carolina, Kricket Latiolais husband George Latiolais of Thomaston, Georgia, one Stepdaughter, Michele Miller of Lilburn, Georgia. Two sons, Terry Bundy, wife Gwen Bundy of Thomaston, Georgia, Wayne Bundy wife Ava Bundy of Thomaston, Georgia, three step sons, (D) Harvey Bundy, III wife Kathy Bundy of Columbus, Georgia, Dennis Sanders of Wedowee, Alabama, Jeff Sanders wife Brenda Sanders of Dahlonega, Georgia, Brian Fortner wife Heather Fortner of Acworth, Georgia, Brother's to include - Edward C. Bundy, Jr., Richard Lee Bundy, Gerald K. Summitt, Randall Summitt and Mark Consolacion. Sister's to include – Virginia Sue Godsey, (D) Betti Jean Little, (D) Victoria Suzanne Beam (D) RoseMarie Davis, Gloria Tiano, and Deanna Wagner. Mrs. Fortner's husbands Brother's Randall Fortner wife Norma Sue of Dawsonville, Georgia, Douglas Fortner, Hiwassee, Georgia (D) Donald Fortner Mrs. Fortner's husband's sisters – Evelyn Ware husband Earl Ware of Murphy, North Carolina and Sherry Darlene of Dawsonville, Georgia Grandchildren: 13 Great-grandchildren: 15 Great, great-grandchildren: 2 Funeral services will be conducted on June 15, 2019 at 12:30 P.M. from Hightower Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Tim Elsberry officiating. Interment will follow at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Zach Bundy, Brian Fortner, Steven Roche', Drew Roche', Chad Richardson, Austin Woityra The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 11:00 A.M till service time for Mrs. Fortner's visitation viewing.
