Walter Keith Maddox of Tallassee, AL, formerly of Bremen, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2009 in a local hospital following an extended illness. He was born in Haralson County, May 24, 1962, son of Doris Haynes Maddox and the late Luther Samuel Maddox. Mr. Maddox was a retired federal employee of the Maxwell Air Force Base; a veteran of the U.S Air Force and a member of the Bremen First Baptist Church. Mr. Maddox was preceded in death by his father, Luther S. Maddox on November 27, 2007. Survivors include his mother, Doris Haynes Maddox of Bremen; a sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Jerry Allen, Bremen; nieces, Lindsey Allen Jordan, Jenna Allen and a great nephew, Rhett Allen, all of Bremen. Services will be Monday, December 21, 2009 at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Brother Herman Parker officiating. Roger Maddox, Clarence Webb, Seth Maddox, Mike McGill, Glenn Swindle and Allan Bartlett will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Bremen City Cemetery with Military Honors.
