Kirk Kiker Whitaker, age 51 of Douglasville , GA, passed away, Sunday, November 8, 2015. He was born July 5, 1964 in Americus, GA, to Karen Kiker Whitaker Smith and the late Dan Burke Whitaker. He was self-employed as a carpenter, loved fishing, building and karoke. He was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church. Survivors are his mother, Karen Smith; step-father, Ronnie Smith; step-mother: Jane Whitaker; sister: Dana Whitaker Robinson and her husband, Clay; brother: Greg Whitaker and his wife, Vicki; nieces: Alexandria Renton, Megan Whitaker, Hannah Whitaker; nephew: Cameron Renton; step-sisters and spouse: Kellye and Albert Parks, Raeford, NC, Tracy Sorensen, Holly Ridge, NC; step-brothers: Jeff Smith, Fredericksburg, VA, Stuart Smith, Lincolnwood, ILL; 8 Smith grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Hightower's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Larry Tucker and Rev. Charles Gibbs officiating. Interment will be held in the Central Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 11, 2015 from 1:00 PM until the service hour of 3:00 PM.
