Lena June Pritchett McBurnett of Bremen passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015 in a local hospital. She was born in Haralson County, June 5, 1931, daughter of the late Earnest H. Pritchett and Te'Lena Brown Pritchett. Mrs. McBurnett was a retired twenty-nine year employee of the Arrow Company and a member of the Bremen Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, James T. McBurnett. Survivors include children, Lamar and Lynda McBurnett of Temple, Mona and Eddie Garrett of Rome; seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, four great, great grandchildren; a sister, Brenda Thomas of Hopkinsville, KY and three brothers, Kenneth Pritchett of Bremen, Donald Pritchett of West Point, Edward Lamar and Terrie Pritchett of St. Augustine, FL. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 5:00 until 9:00 PM. Services will be Monday, October 26 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Reverend Jimmy Drew and Shawn Hurston officiating. Music will be furnished by Lamar McBurnett. Cory McBurnett, Chad McBurnett, Craig McBurnett, Stacey Hurston, Shawn Hurston, Shannon Hurston and Ben Hurston will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery.
