Mrs. Martha Jean Haney, age 68, of Chappell Road, Carrollton, Georgia, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2010. She was born February 3, 1942 in Carrollton, Georgia the daughter of the late Ollie Mae Brooks Ward and Oscar Ward. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Haney; brothers, Edward Ward, Oscar Ward, Jr., and Harold Ray Ward. Survivors include her sons, Mike Haney, Wesley Haney and Tracy Haney all of Buchanan, GA.; sisters, Shirley Collins, Sue Wellborn both of Carrollton, Ga., and Mary Land of Bowdon, Ga.; brothers, Billy Ward, Jack Ward and Robert & Reudean Ward all of Carrollton; also 4 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at 2 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Milford Ballenger and Rev. Pete Collins officiating. Music will be provided by Nathan & Johnathan Smith. Pallbearers will be Gary Collins, Rodney Collins, Greg Turner and John D. Brown. Interment will follow in Carrollton City Cemetery.
