Martha Reese Jones of Buchanan passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015 in a local health facility. She was born in Roswell, August 28, 1927, daughter of the late John Clarence Reese and Clara Coleman Reese. Mrs. Jones was a member of the Buchanan First Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Hogan Jones; a sister, Mary Reese Patten and three brothers, Thomas Coleman Reese, William Julian Reese and John Walton Reese. Survivors include children, Thomas S. and Gail Jones of Bremen, Patricia J. and Danny Hughes of Carrollton, Jere J. Mayfield of Carrollton, Robert Edward and Mary Jones of Panama City, FL, Richard Lee and Susan Jones, Buchanan; eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a sister, Ann Reese McClain of Watkinsville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Services will be Tuesday, June 16 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Dr. Allen Wilburn officiating. Music will be furnished by Ellen McDonald. David Lovvorn, Ben Jones, Daniel Jones, Malcome Patten, Pierce Jones, Ronnie McClain, Gary McClain and Vince Patten will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Bremen City Cemetery.
