Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Bradbury Holder, age 84, resident of Haralson Nursing & Rehab., passed away Monday, June 1, 2009. She was born May 27, 1925 in Cleburne County, Alabama the daughter of the late Mamie Fowler Bradbury and James Edward Bradbury. Mary was a homemaker, member of Bowdon First United Methodist and will be remembered for her unwavering faith in God, the love she had for her family and her persistent drive to find the good in all things and all people. Mary wrote poetry and loved to read. Mary never met a stranger and was notorious for her humor and her ability to make anyone laugh. Her sweet spirit touched everyone she met. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. John Robert Holder; sisters, Louise Lambert, Opal Breazeal, Dorathy Jones, Vera Munson and Faye Bradbury; brothers, Ray Bradbury, Willie J. Bradbury, Milton Bradbury, Joel Bradbury and George Bradbury. Survivors include her daughter, Donna Walston of Carrollton; grand daughter and her husband, Melanie & David Lambert of Bowdon Junction; nephews and their spouses, Dr. Alex and Mrs. Patti Munson of Georgetown, Tx., Dr. James Edward Munson of Oxford, England, and Terry & Michelle Holder of Bowdon, Ga.; nieces and great nieces, Inge Jones of Malibu Beach, CA., Shirley Lamanik, and Vicki Brown both of Powder Springs, Ga. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 1 PM from Bowdon First United Methodist Church with Rev. Cindy Conner, Rev. Darrel Hessel, Rev. Jimmy Bryan and Mr. David Lambert officiating. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Bryan, Doyal Warren, Brent Ledbetter and Terry Holder. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Haralson Nursing & Rehab, Celia Ledbetter, J. W. Hale and Cecil Gladney. Interment will follow in New Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev.
