Miss Mildred 'Millie" Bailey age 85 of County Road #23, Ranburne, formerly of Carrollton passed away Saturday afternoon at her residence following an extended illness. She was born November 22, 1921 in Coweta County to the late Luby Carlton Bailey and Jewell Jones Bailey. Miss Bailey retired from the Federal Bureau of Investigation after more than twenty five years of service, was a U.S. Navy veteran, and a member of the Whitesburg Baptist Church. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Harriett Bailey Brown and a brother Charles Allen bailey. Survivors include her nieces Melinda Hester, Pam Howard and Michelle Brown, great nephews Tony Skinner and Jeff Skinner and a great great nephew Zackary Meeler all of Ranburne. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon December 26th at 2:00PM, from Martin & Hightower Heritage chapel with Rev. Woodrow Hudson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 11:00AM until the funeral hour. Interment will follow the service in Whitesburg City Cemetery with American Legion Post #143 making the Flag presentation. Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel has charge of the arrangements.
