Monica Lynn Gibson, age 35, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. She was born November 12, 1987, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the daughter of the late David Randolph Gibson.

Monica worked as a baker at Western Sizzlin, where she made delicious bread and pies for her customers. However, cooking and baking was more than just a job for Monica; it was a passion, and she was great at it! She enjoyed crocheting, drawing, and spending time with her cats in her spare time. Monica was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and will be genuinely missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother and adoptive mother, Dianna Ellen Jones, and brother, Terry Wayne Gibson.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sisters, Melissa Reyes, Donna Carlisle, Dana Campbell, Miriam Gibson, and Ruby Gibson; brother, Rabon Paul Gibson; aunt, Joan Scruggs; and cousins, Angie Reynolds, Jason Hyler, and so many more.

In keeping with Monica's wishes, her body has been cremated, and a memorial service will be planned in the coming weeks in Danville, Virginia.
