Paul Lewis Smith, age 60 of Whitesburg, Georgia passed away Sunday, June 05, 2016. He was born August 19, 1955 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Charles Smith and Marie Carter Smith. He formerly worked in the shipping department for Transpak as a forklift operator. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Marshall. Survivors include his wife, Teresa Handley Smith of Whitesburg; his daughters and sons-in-law, Heather and Brad McGinnis of Carrollton and Brittany and Jason Hampton of Whitesburg; sister and brother-in-law, Shelia and Ronald Russell of Douglasville; sister Donna Bush of Douglasville; brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Beverly Smith of Villa Rica; granddaughter, Cadence McGinnis of Carrollton; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, June 08, 2016 at 4:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Alvin Hunnicutt officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 07, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. In keeping with the family's wishes, his body will be cremated following the service.
