Mr. Perry James Walton, age 71, of Douglasville, GA, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2006. Mr. Walton was a native of Douglas County, born to James L. Walton & Carolyn Ergle Walton, on November 5, 1934. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife of 42 years, Betty Nellajean Hunter Walton. Mr. Walton was retired from Lockheed, after more than 39 years, as a Quality Control Supervisor. He served in the Army National Guard and was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church. Survivors include his sons & daughters-in-law, Keith & Katherine Walton, Hiram, GA, Phil & Roxie Walton, Douglasville, GA, and Russell & Julie Walton, Douglasville, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Sherri & Bruce Walker, Douglasville, GA; brothers, Tommy Walton, Timmy Walton, and Bobby Walton, all of Douglasville, GA; ten grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services for Mr. Walton will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2006, at 2:00 p.m., from Sweetwater Baptist Church, with Reverend Bryan Alexander officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, September 15, 2006 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Sweetwater Baptist Church Building Fund, 2305 Sweetwater Church Road, Douglasville, GA 30134.
