Rebecca "Becky" Ellis, age 61, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away on Sunday morning, July 9, 2017 at Tanner Medical Center Carrollton. She was born December 20, 1955 in Fulton County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Leonard Ross Swords and the late Grace Elizabeth Holder Swords. She was a retired cashier with Kroger and was a member of Roopville Road Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Shelvia Ellis, Jr. and brothers, Donald Swords and Richard Swords. Survivors include her children; April Sinyard of Carrollton and Shane Ellis of Newnan; sisters: Diane Holland of Las Vegas and Barbara Hembree of Lawrenceville; and two grandchildren: Amy Danielle Ellis and Bryan Ellis, and great grandson, Chance. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be conducted Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 6:00 PM from Roopville Road Baptist Church with Dr. Stephen Peeples officiating.
