Susan Janet "Jan" Carter, 53 of Hwy 27 North, Bowdon Jct., passed away on July 26, 2008 in a local hospital. Jan was born on October 4, 1954 in Carroll County, Georgia the daughter of Gladys M. Wilson Akin and the late Palm N. Akin. A homemaker and Member of Union United Methodist Church. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ocie J. Carter and a sister, Jeannie Noles. Survivors include her mother, Gladys M. Akin of Bremen; daughter Kim M. Carter and friend, Josh Recupido of Carrollton and special friend, David Thackston of Carrollton. Memorial Service will be conducted Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at 11 AM from Union United Methodist Church with Reverend Britt Madden and Reverend Anthony Puckett officiating. Music will be provided by Harold McWhorter.
