Obituary

Andrew Joseph Knagg, age 19, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on September 1, 2007, in Decatur, Georgia, Andrew was the beloved son of Naomi Donarski Knagg and Richard Knagg. Andrew attended Villa Rica High School and later completed his studies from DK12 Online to receive his diploma.

Andrew's life was far too short, but the years he was given were filled with people and things he genuinely loved. He enjoyed fishing, playing Xbox, hanging out with his friends, and simply being a 19-year-old. Whether he was sitting by the water with a fishing pole, gaming at home, or spending time laughing and cutting up with his friends, Andrew found happiness in the simple moments and in being around the people he cared about.

And then there was Ace. Andrew shared a special bond with his beloved dog, who was much more than a pet. Ace was his buddy, his constant companion, and a source of comfort through both the good days and the difficult ones. Anyone who knew Andrew knew how much he loved Ace, and the two were rarely far apart.

Cancer became part of Andrew's story far too soon, but it was never what defined him. To those who knew and loved him, he was simply Andrew; a son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. His family and friends will miss the everyday things most: his presence, his laughter, seeing him with Ace, and all those seemingly ordinary moments that have now become some of their most treasured memories.

Nineteen years could never have been enough. While Andrew's family would have given anything for more time with him, they are grateful for every day they were given, every memory they made, and every bit of love they shared. Andrew was deeply loved during his life, and that love will continue long after his passing.

Andrew is survived by his adoring mother, Naomi Donarski Knagg, and his father, Richard Knagg. He leaves behind a loving family, including his maternal grandparents, Ruth and Richard Donarski; his paternal grandparents, Gerald Knagg and Doreen Wells, his siblings, Dylan Donarski and Matilda Cameron; his uncles and aunts, Joshua Donarski, Jason Donarski, Kayla Donarski, Jamie "Yaggie" Donarski, Gary Calhoun, Randy Folds, Trish Johnson, Darren Knagg and Mark Wells; his cousins, Elizabeth Donarski, Vivian Donarski, Leah Johnson, and Sandy Johnson; his beloved dog and constant companion, Ace; and a number of extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his godparents, John and Bobbie Walls, Aunt Leann and Great Auntie Sandy
