Anita H. Akin, 79 of Bremen passed away on March 4, 2026 in a healthcare facility.

She was born on December 29, 1946 in Bremen, Georgia, the daughter of the late James Holcombe and Barbara Myrl Thompson Crews.

Anita was a Member of Five Points Baptist Church and formerly employed with Diamond Crystal as a Quality Control Specialist.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Terry James Akin.

Survivors include her children, Devin Akin (DeAnne), Sandra Hopkins (Kirk); grandchildren, Chuck Hopkins, Jeremy Hopkins, Sarah Akin, Nicholas Akin, Abbey Prestridge (Jeremy) and Hannah Lonas (Nick); great grandchildren, Colt Prestridge, Cheyanne Prestridge, Beckett Prestridge, and Brooks Prestridge; sister-in-law, Carolyn Freck (Don); and brother-in-law, Eddie Akin (Carolyn).
