Obituary

Mrs. Annie Ruth Waller, peacefully departed from us on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, surrounded by love, leaving behind an indelible mark on all who knew her. Annie was born on August 24, 1935, in Manchester, Georgia, and spent her life as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother sister, and friend.

Ruth was joined in matrimony to the love of her life, Jerry Waller, with whom she shared a bond that exemplified dedication and affection. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, joy, and countless memories. As a proud mother, she nurtured her son, Clayton, and his wife, Tonia, instilling in them values of compassion and resilience. Annie's heart was further filled with love through her grandchild, Regan Kelley, who brought her immeasurable joy.

Ruth's life was a tapestry of service and devotion. She retired as an office clerk from Cub Foods, where her commitment to her work was admired by colleagues and customers alike. For over 13 years, she volunteered at the Gift Shop at Tanner Medical Center in Villa Rica, bringing a warm smile and comforting presence to those in need. A deeply committed member of Midway Church, Annie found strength and community in her faith, serving alongside fellow members of the Waller Life Group.

Her spirit was as vibrant as the colors of spring, and her laughter could light even the darkest of days. A passionate Atlanta Braves fan, she proudly held the title of Fan of the Year in 1999, celebrating each game with enthusiasm and joy. Those who knew her will fondly remember her infectious spirit and the love she shared for family and friends.

Ruth is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Willie Alexander Mosteller and Julia Bell Bridges Chambers, as well as her brother, John Mosteller; and sisters, Helen Brown, Pauline Hall, Hazel Fuller, Dorothy Williamson, and Beulah Mae Mott. They were all welcomed with open arms in the embrace of eternity.

To honor Ruth's life and legacy, a funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Martin & Hightower Funeral Home on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 3:00 PM, with visitation preceding the service from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Rev. Kevin Rivers and Rev. Todd Wright will officiate the service, and Regan Kelley will share memories in honor of her beloved grandmother. She will be laid to rest in a peaceful entombment at Carroll Memory Gardens on Monday, July 20, 2026, at 3:00 PM with Rev. Barry Thompson conducting the service. The Waller Life Group of Midway Church will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

In the spirit of Ruth's compassionate heart and radiant spirit, let us gather together to celebrate her remarkable life and the love she shared with all of us. May her memory continue to inspire us and may her soul find everlasting peace.
