Mrs. Barbara 'Shedd' Hamrick, age 88 of Bremen, passed away Monday, August 24, 2026. She was born August 12, 1938 in Buchanan, daughter of the late Lawrence and Bonnell 'Blackmon' Shedd. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Harold Hamrick; sisters, Ethel Morris and Patricia Powers; and brother Hubert Shedd.

Survivors include her children, son Keith and Gayla Locklear of Bremen, step-sons James and Rachel Hamrick of Sharpsburg and Danny and Laurel Hamrick of Kentucky; sister, Gail Reeves of Bremen; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 24, 2026 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

She will lie in state at Bethel Baptist Church from 1:00 PM – until the service hour.

Services will be Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at 2:00 pm from Bethel Baptist Church with Reverend David McPherson and Reverend Ronald Carroll officiating. Nicholas Locklear, Dawlon Cole, Darron Powers, Micah Hamrick, Jason Powers, and Shane Reeves will serve as Pallbearers. Raylan Cole, Grayson Locklear, and Dallas Locklear will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

Interment will follow at Union Hill Cemetery with Reverend Stevie Waddell officiating.
