Barbara Joice White Maddox, age 85, of Temple, passed away on June 23, 2025. She was born in Temple on March 31,1940, the daughter of the late Jonathan Payton White and Bessie Alta Boone White. She retired from the banking industry after over 35 years and was a member of the West Georgia Church of Christ in Carrollton.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bryant Maddox, and a son, Brian Duffey.

Survivors include her children, Kerry Duffey, Derek Duffey (Sharon), and Darin Duffey (Jenny) all of Temple; a sister, Helen Gray (Glenn) of Carrollton; a brother, Jonathan P. White, Jr. (Brenda) of Carrollton; grandchildren, Christopher Branson, Nicholas Branson (Monica), Amanda Owens (Christopher), Kinchen Duffey (Jessica), Payton Rush (Stephen), Kristen Myrick (Cameron); 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, June 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, with Minister Joel Engelbird officiating. Kinchen Duffey, Cameron Myrick, Nicholas Branson, Stephen Rush, Christopher Owens, and Christopher Branson will serve as pallbearers.
