Obituary

Mr. Barry Clifford Folds, age 72, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on March 19, 2025. He was born on June 13, 1952, to the late Clifford Beeman Folds and Mary Lucille Wessinger Folds, who instilled in him strong family values.

Barry graduated from Bowdon High School and developed a strong sense of community among his peers. Following his education, he dedicated many years of service to Georgia Power, working diligently as a member of the maintenance crew at Plant Wansley. His commitment to his work earned him the respect of colleagues and supervisors alike.

In retirement, Barry embraced his passion for fishing, reveling in the tranquility of the water and the thrill of the catch—activities that brought him joy throughout his life. He was also an avid sports enthusiast, passionately cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs, following their games, and sharing the experience with friends and family.

Barry was a devoted husband, loving father, and loyal brother who cherished his family bonds. All who knew him will fondly remember his warmth, kindness, and unwavering support. His legacy of love and dedication will continue to impact those left behind, and he will be deeply missed by everyone fortunate enough to have been part of his life.

He is survived by a loving family, which includes his wife of 38 years, Lisa Wright Folds, who stood by him through life's journey; his beloved daughter, Michelle Lee Folds, who carries on his legacy; and his brother, Larry Folds, with whom he shared countless memories over the years. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Scotty and Donna Folds, who were cherished companions to him. In addition to his immediate family, he is mourned by his mother-in-law, Christine Wright, and his supportive brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Eddie and Cindy Wright, Deloras and Jeff Heiart, and Mack Brown. His family was further enriched by his nieces and nephews—Elizabeth Wilson, Jon Folds, Amanda Phillips, Tyler Folds, Terry Webb, and Tyler Wright—who brought joy and laughter into his life.

In addition to his parents, Barry was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Norman Wright.
