Betty J. Keene, age 76 of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015. She was born March 10, 1938 in Mobile, Alabama to the late Charles M. Richburg Sr and Mande Robinson Richburg. She was a homemaker and mother, and a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jerald "Jerry" T. Keene; daughter, Kim White; brothers, Charles Richburg Jr., Bobby Richburg and Donald Lee Richburg. Survivors include her children, Susan Keene Kenna (John) of Ocean Springs, MS, Byron Keene (Daphne) of Newnan, Kyle Keene of Newnan, Janey Keene of Carrollon, and Melissa Keene of Fort Smith, AR; sister, Mary Green of Dothan, AL; eleven grandchildren, Jared, Josh and Jennifer White, Bryan, Maggie and Hannah Whitworth, Dylan, Zach and Darby Keene and Alex and Cameron Keene; and a host of nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be conducted Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 2:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Jack Gantt officiating. Music will be rendered by Mark Witham. Inurnment will follow in West Georgia Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers will be the Friendship Sunday school class. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 12:45 PM until the hour of service. In keeping with the family's wishes, the body will be cremated.
