Betty Jane Lewis, age 65, of Bremen, passed away on July 17, 2025, at a local healthcare facility. She was born on November 14, 1959, in Troy, New York, the daughter of the late Walter Henry Sass, Sr., and Winifred Hathaway Sass. She was a homemaker and a Baptist by faith.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Walter Henry Sass, Jr., and David Roger Sass.

Survivors include her husband, Martin Lewis; her children, Chrissy West, Todd Lewis (Monica), Eddie Lewis, Virginia Harris (Bernie), and Martin Lewis (Delia); sisters, Barbara Sass, Carol Dieter, Kathy Newkirk, Nancy Robinson, Georgann Bruns, and Joann Hawver; a brother, William D. Sass, Sr. and 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
