Betty Joyce Parker Sailors of Bremen passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014 in a local health facility following an extended illness. She was born in Waco, August 23, 1934, daughter of the late Robert Jackson Parker and Mae Smith Parker. Mrs. Sailors was a retired employee of the Hubbard Company and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Wayne Sailors in 2001; brothers, Buck Parker, Ray Parker, Claud Parker; sisters, Gloria Braswell and Lucille Morgan. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Allison Wood, Bremen, Tim and Cindy Wood of Bartlett, TN; sisters, Sybil Lyle of Carrollton and Faye Naile of Waco and five grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Services will be Saturday, June 21 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Dr. J. Howard Mills officiating.. Dwayne Robinson, Bobby Parker, Greg Folds, Larry Wood and Tony Lyle will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery.
