Billie Jean Thompson Dunn, age 83, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026. She was born on January 15, 1943 in Vonore, Tennessee, daughter of the late Harper Thompson and the late Bertie Mills Thompson. Billie was retired from Big Star Grocery where she worked in the deli. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Douglasville. Billie loved working in her yard and feeding the birds. She was one of the sweetest, kindest people you would ever meet. Billie loved taking care of her family and found joy by being surrounded by those she loved. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew her.

She is survived by her daughters, Anita Jane Maddox, Brenda Dunn, and Marcia Ackerman.

The family will receive friends at Hightower's Memorial Chapel on Thursday, March 26, 2026 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon in the chapel at the funeral home with Pastor Barry Golden officiating.

Interment will be at Mosley Memorial Gardens.
