Billy Charles Stallings, age 81 of Whitesburg, passed away Sunday, March 02, 2014. He was born October 29, 1932 in Heard County to the late Mr. Charles Adam Stallings and Mrs. Willie Mae Hannah Stallings. He was a park ranger at McIntosh Reserve who was considered by many to be a man of many talents. He was Baptist by faith. He is preceded by both his parents; and a brother, Lamar Stallings. Survivors include his loving wife, Kathryn Whittington Stallings of Whitesburg; son and daughter in law, Kenneth Carl and Contessa Stallings of Buford, GA; daughter and son in law, Kathy and James Brautigam of Canton, GA; three daughters, Charlene Burley of Kent, WA, Carol Bukovic of Sheboygan, WI, and Charlotte Vanacore of Selden, NY; sister and brother in law, Joyce and Jimmy North of Whitesburg; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 04, 2014 at 10:00 AM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Bobby Whittington officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitesburg City Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers will be Brandt Stallings, Ryan Whitworth, Scott Whittington, Johnny Whittington, Jimmy Sheets, Jimmy North, Darrell Johnson, and Steve Chadwick.
