Mr. William E. "Billy" McDowell, 64 of Georgia Hwy. 120, Bremen passed away April 23, 2008. Mr. McDowell was born on November 8, 1943 in Haralson County, Georgia the son of the late Charles Wesley McDowell and Amanda Latham McDowell. A retired Methodist Minister. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Wesley McDowell, Jr. Survivors include his wife, Vivian Hicks McDowell of Bremen; children, Angela McDowell of Temple, Brian Wesley and Judy McDowell of Waco, Mitchell & Janet McDowell of Bremen and Cody McDowell of Tallapoosa; step-children, Janine & Brent Graham and Shane McDurmon all of Rockmart; brothers and sisters in law, Larry & Diane McDowell and Danny & Becky McDowell all of Buchanan; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, April 25, 2008 at 3 PM from The Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Reverend Dean Watson and Reverend Allen Wilburn officiating. Music will be furnished by Mrs. Margie Watson. Larry Cash, James Spake, Herbert Whitton, Ron Gertsman, Curt Sanders, Eddie Spain, Kevin Robinson and Lemuel Evans will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Corinth Church Cemetery.
