Mr. Billy Jefferson Williamson, Sr., age 71, of Clem St., Carrollton, GA., passed away July 19, 2006 at his home. Mr. Williamson was born in Troup County on November 7, 1934 to the late Herschell Marshall Williamson and the late Eunice Carodale Maxwell. He was the retired owner of West Georgia Trucking Company and was a U.S. Army Veteran having been discharged in March of 1956. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Myrtice Irene Kent Williamson; daughters and sons in-laws, Debra and Larry Traylor of Bowdon, Sandra and Gary Thompson of Waco, Cynthia and Bubba Barker; two sons, Billy Jefferson "Jeff" Williamson, Jr., and Tony and Angie Williamson all of Carrollton; two sisters and a brother in-law, Betty and Charles Morrow and Jeanette Henson all of Carrollton; 13 grandchildren and 1 great granchild; also several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, July 22, 2006 at 2 PM from Tyus Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Brown officiating. Pallbearers will be Charles Morrow, Davis Kent, Danny Weathington, Brad Traylor, Wade Traylor and Joey Morris. The American Legion Post #143 will make the flag presentation.
