Brenda Brooks, age 78 of Fruithurst, Alabama passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025 at her home. She was born December 11, 1946 in Tallapoosa, daughter of the late Herman and Doris Bell. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Charles Brooks; sons, Rodney Dean Bell, Kevin Scott Bell and Kyle Eugene McCollum; brother, Gerald Bell; brother-in-law, Wayne Hare; and sisters-in-law, Teresa Bell and Cathy Bell.

Survivors include her daughter Misty (Kevin) Skinner; sisters, Yvonne Daniel, Betty Hare and Juanita (Larry) Verner; brothers, Dennis Bell and Larry Bell; grandchildren, Cody (Katlynn) Bell, Karissa (Grayson) Wimpee and Kaden Skinner; and three great grandchildren, Charlie Grace Wimpee, Stetson Wimpee, and Brayden Bell.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Services will be Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at 12:00 pm from the Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Reverend Shane Leggett officiating. Jeremy Daniel, Greg Miller, Sandy Miller, Chad Bell, Jacob Pike and Lee Carroll will serve as Pallbearers.

Interment will follow at Mt. Zion West Baptist Church.
